How to request a courier pickup?

Practice staff can now request a courier by submitting a form.


Note that this functionality will only be available to practices in some selected areas. This will be rolled-out progressively over 202.


Go to the Courier tab.




  1. Select a pick up address from the dropdown.
  2. Provide a sample reference - the name of the patient for example. If multiple patient specimens are to be collected, only one reference is required.
  3. Specify the location of your specimen (night box, reception or other). The following field will allow you to provide further information.
  4. If you would like to share any information with the courier or medical team (i.e. ice box required), please use the notes field.
  5. Specify the closing hours of your practice.
  6. Specify if your pickup is urgent - if you select "yes", you will be prompted to give us more information to help our courier team prioritise requests.


After you submit your courier request




Once the form is submitted:

  1. You will see a confirmation on screen that the job has been submitted, with a pick up reference (6 letters/digits) that you can quote over the phone with our courier team), a status (In progress, Completed, etc) and a tracking link (map).
  2. You will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your request.
  3. The order is immediately sent to our team for dispatch.
