How to request a courier pickup?

Pick up form


Practice staff can now request a courier by submitting a form.


Note that this functionality will only be available to practices in some selected areas. This will be rolled-out progressively over 202.


Go to the Courier tab.



Fill the form providing the following information:


  1. Pick up address: select a pick up address from the dropdown.
  2. Sample reference: the name of the patient for example. If multiple patient specimens are to be collected, only one reference is required.
  3. **Specimen location details (optional): **let us know where your sample is located.
  4. Notes to courier or medical team (optional): If you would like to share any information with the courier or medical team (i.e. ice box required), please use the notes field.
  5. Urgent collection?: Specify if your pickup is urgent - if you select "yes", you will be prompted to give us more information to help our courier team prioritise requests.


After you submit your courier request




Once the form is submitted:

  1. The order is immediately sent to our team for dispatch.
  2. On-screen confirmation: you will see a confirmation on right of the screen that the job has been submitted, with a pick up reference (6 letters/digits) that you can quote over the phone with our courier team), a status (In progress, Completed, etc) and a tracking link (map).
  3. Email confirmation: you will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your request.
  4. A tracking map is visible by clicking on the link, opening in a separate window. Closer to the delivery time, you can follow the driver to your location on a map.
